People have such a low opinion of the media they consider it to be only above Congress in loathsomeness.
And yet these very same media -- most of whom have been caught blatantly lying to their audiences, manipulating news to favor their political leanings, and editorializing in their "news" stories -- think they should be the arbiters of what is and is not "fake news"?
Fakebook, Google and the BBC have long, sordid histories of, shall we say, misrepresentation of facts. The reason they have so little respect among the public is because they deserve it -- they lie.
For them to pretend they are paragons of objectivity and dispassionate truth is akin to presenting Karl Marx as the champion of free market economics.
