I met my wife in late 1999 when she was still in grad school and after dating for a few months we made a trip to Montreal to meet her parents (Gulp!). Back then, this Navy brat had seen a good chunk of the world – from the Pacific NW to Florida to Hawaii to VA and Cali of course, and I keep threatening to write a book about our 32 months at Subic Bay.
If you flood the country with unskilled, uneducated workers it drives low skilled wages down and low skilled joblessness up. This hurts minorities the most.
Also they consume more taxpayer funded services than they pay for so the productive citizens pay for them.
And if 11 million is okay then why not 111 million? or 1 billion?Read more
Illegal-alien-criminals cost America billions of dollars every single year. Why have our 'leaders' accepted this expense?
And after serving their prison sentences, instead of being deported, many illegal-alien-felons are being dumped back onto our streets.
Why in the world aren't illegal-alien-felons being deported when their prison sentences are up?
Blogger CitizenObservers at Daily Caller commented on the true financial burden illegal-alien-criminals put on America. But these numbers only include the costs of incarcerating criminals on the federal level. Holding them at the state and local level costs billions more.Read more
Since Progressives can't convince the American people to accept their Politically Correct Looniness, they've decided to attack the problem in a different way and 'grow' a new permanent-majority of Democrats.
With the promise of generous hand-outs, our government has been luring poor immigrants here from Central America for years. How could poor people resist?
In some places, whole towns have reportedly picked-up and migrated here recently.
Blogger Hardright49 left a comment on Breitbart.com that compares our country's immigration problems with what transpired in his backyard when he tried to do something nice and feed the birds. You should read it...Read more
I have an old-fashioned belief in the assimilation model. Which means you keep some of your original culture and celebrate it, if you want, but you also become part of the society of your new country. It's that I don't see happening very much.
I mostly see new Hispanic immigrants recreating their old society here. I don't think multi-culti, balkanized populations are good for any country. These immigrants aren't really immigrants, but rather ex pats.Read more
You're going to live to regret that braggadocio. Yes, Obama has been bragging about 2 Million deportations a year, failing to mention the one key fact that he changed 'deportation' to include those turned away at the border without entering. It's kind of like the grade inflation he took advantage of while he was @ Harvard.
The problem for you and the Progs is now the very publicized benchmark is 2 million deportations a year. When Trump deports 2 million a year "exclusive" of those turned away at the border, you'll have nobody to squawk to except those in your little echo chamber.Read more
Whether you are a Democrat or Republican, this should be of great interest to you! This is only one State... If this doesn't open your eyes, nothing will! From the L.A. Times.
1. 40% of all workers in LA County (10.2 million people) are working for cash; and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants, working without a green card. (Donald Trump was right)
2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.
3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.Read more
Everyone is worrying about the color the trim on the house should be painted when the problem is in the basement. When we call someone an illegal, in the big picture we are so wrong.
It is an administrative rule violation to cross our border without permission but not a crime.
Congress needs to pass a law making it a crime, with punishment, if you enter the US without papers or through a controlled entry point.Read more

...it's been 11M since 2006. Pretty sure with 500,000+ coming over per year (that they know about), they can give us a new count. But I digress. It is unrealistic and impossible to "deport them all", and maybe not something that we should do anyway.
I agree with Trump's plan to deport any of them committing a crime (yes, they broke the law by crossing the border. I get that), and building a wall and turning ALL back towards the way they came. "But deh terk er jerbs!!!" That's fine too.
Now that Trump is in, he will cut corporate taxes to the point that new industry and manufacturing will be FLOODING into America, and I believe there will be plenty of jobs to go around.Read more
